Payment Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions shall apply to all transactions conducted through this online payment cart. Read them before you place an order and we also recommend that you print out a copy for your records. Please note that in these terms and conditions "you", "your", "yours" and "yourself" are references to any person making an online payment transaction from the website, and "we", "our" and "ours" refers to BAM Agency Ltd and the online shopping cart bamshop.co.uk
Nothing in these Conditions excludes or limits the liability of bamshop.co.uk for death or personal injury caused by bamshop.co.uk's negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to the preceding sentence, Condition 11 constitutes the entire financial liability of bamshop.co.uk (including any liability for the acts or omissions of its employees, agents and sub-contractors) to the Buyer in respect of: (i) any breach of these Conditions; and (ii) any representation, statement or negligent act or omission, including negligence arising under, or in connection with, the contract.
On-Line Payments
Please read these terms carefully before using the online payment facility. Using the online payment facility on this website indicates that you accept these terms. If you do not accept these terms do not use this facility. All payments are subject to the following conditions;
Your payment will normally reach the bamshop.co.uk bank account, to which you are making a payment, the following working day.
We cannot accept liability for a payment not reaching our account due to you quoting an incorrect account number or incorrect personal details. Neither can we accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the credit/debit card supplier for any reason.
If the card supplier declines payment, bamshop.co.uk is under no obligation to bring this fact to your attention. You should check with your bank/credit/debit card supplier that payment has been deducted from your account.
The payment will be displayed on your statement as a payment to 'bamshop.co.uk'
All credit/debit card data that you provide during this transaction is not stored on our servers, and you only submit this information when within the secured web-pages of www.sagepay.com, our e-commerce gateway provider, which will only be used for the purpose of recording your payment.
In no event will bamshop.co.uk be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of use of this site, any websites linked to this site, or the materials or information contained at any or all such sites, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not advised of the possibility of such damages.
Refunds, if applicable, will only be made to the debit/credit card used for the original transaction. For refund terms and conditions, please refer to the purchase terms and conditions provided by the issuing website.

The JobShop code of practice is intended to establish and maintain recognised standards for both students and employers using the
Students’ JobShop at Aston Students’ Guild.
Employers
The placement of an advert with the Students’ JobShop shall be deemed acceptance of and agreement to this code of practice.
The Jobs can only advertise jobs which are in-line with Aston University’s policy on term time work which sates-
‘The maximum number of hours that it is appropriate for a student to work will vary according to individual circumstances and the timing and nature of the work, but typically would not be more than 15 hours per week during term time with a maximum of 20 hours per week’
The Students’ JobShop will endeavour to assist employers in locating suitable student employees but reserves the right not to advertise an employer’s vacancy for any reason.
The Students’ JobShop will only act as a facilitator of vacancy information between the employer and a student seeking employment.
The employer must make clear the nature of the work offered and specify any necessary skills required, the proposed wages and other terms. If they are able, the employer should also state the number and distribution of hours to be worked and the date that the employment will end.
The Students’ JobShop can only advertise jobs which offer National Minimum Wage or higher rates of pay.
The JobShop does not post positions that are commission or self-employed based.
The employer should be aware of students’ study obligations and should bear these in mind when negotiating hours of work with students.
The employer shall satisfy themselves as to the suitability of any employee and shall be responsible for taking up any references provided by the employee before engaging the student.
Students’ JobShop will expect the employer to meet all statutory legal requirements with regard to students employed via the Students’ JobShop, which include:
working time directive legislation
payment of National Insurance contributions and income tax
provision of adequate insurance cover
health & safety regulations
Compliance with legislation against discrimination in employment on the basis of disability, ethnic origin, gender etc and with compliance with good practice in respect of non-discrimination on the grounds of age.
Employers are not permitted to advertise their company or products on Aston university campus without permission from appropriate University members, enquiries can be made through the JobShop.
The Students’ JobShop reserves the right not to advertise vacancies it considers unsuitable for students
The Students’ JobShop reserves the right to refuse to advertise further vacancies from any company which breaches this code.
Aditional guildlines for Employment Agencies.
If you wish to advertise with the JobShop you must provide the company name and location of the specific employer you are recruiting for. This information is not shared with students but is for staff use only.
Vacancies posted on behalf of agencies will have a closing date of one week from the time the vacancy is posted.
